Gujarat TAT Secondary Prelims Result 2026 Out: How to Download Your Scorecard and What Comes Next

SEB Gujarat has declared the TAT-S Preliminary Exam 2026 result today. Here's how to download your scorecard, check qualifying status, and what to do next.

Gujarat TAT-S Prelims Result 2026 Declared Today

The State Examination Board (SEB), Gandhinagar has officially declared the Gujarat Teacher Aptitude Test Secondary (TAT-S) Preliminary Examination Result 2026 today, July 4, 2026. The result has been released via official notification number RPB/TAT-S/2026/5736-49 and is now live on the SEB portal.

A total of 2,10,580 candidates had registered for the exam, out of which 1,85,030 actually appeared on exam day, May 3, 2026. Qualified candidates will now move forward to the TAT-S Mains Examination, which is scheduled for August 3, 2026.

How to Download Your Gujarat TAT Secondary Scorecard 2026

Candidates can access their scorecard directly from the official SEB result portal. Here's how:

  1. Visit the official website at sebexam.org
  2. Click on the link titled "TAT (Secondary) 2026 Preliminary Examination Result"
  3. Enter your Seat Number or Confirmation Number
  4. Enter your Date of Birth
  5. Click Submit to view your result and qualifying status
  6. Download the scorecard PDF and save or print a hard copy for future reference

Keep your scorecard safely stored — you will need it for future stages of the selection process including Mains and document verification.

What Your Scorecard Will Show

When you open your Gujarat TAT-S Prelims Scorecard 2026, the following details will be printed on it:

  • Candidate name and gender
  • Registration or seat number
  • Category
  • Subject and exam date
  • Marks obtained out of total
  • Qualifying status (qualified or not qualified)

The minimum qualifying mark for the TAT-S Prelims is 35%, meaning candidates needed to score at least 70 marks out of 200 to clear this stage.

Answer Key Revisions You Should Know About

The result has been finalised after SEB completed its review of candidate objections to the provisional answer key. Two specific corrections were made to the final answer key before scores were computed:

  • Gujarati Medium Common Paper: Question 17 revised to Option B
  • Science and Mathematics Paper: Question 163 revised to Option C

If you had marked either of these revised answers, your final score will reflect the updated correct options.

What Happens Next: The TAT-S Mains Exam

Clearing the Preliminary Exam is not the final step. Here's what qualified candidates need to know about the road ahead:

  • The TAT-S Mains Examination is scheduled for August 3, 2026, for both Gujarati and English medium candidates
  • The Mains exam is descriptive in nature
  • No separate application form or fee is required to sit for Mains — your qualification in Prelims makes you eligible automatically
  • After Mains, document verification will be conducted by the recruitment selection committee, and its decision will be final

Start your Mains preparation now. You have roughly a month, and the descriptive format rewards depth of understanding more than the objective Prelims format did.

OMR Rechecking Window: July 7 to July 15

Candidates who are not satisfied with their Prelims marks can apply for OMR sheet rechecking at the SEB office in Gandhinagar. The rechecking window is open from July 7 to July 15, 2026. Candidates must visit the office in person and submit a written application along with the required fee. No applications will be accepted after July 15, so act quickly if you intend to pursue this.
